|Trojan - Trojan Sea Voyager Express (33'0"): Sea Voyageur, nice classic, but not built to last.|
I've owned my Sea Voyageur for 12 years, and still have it. Its a great looking boat, with very classic lines. These are a great boat, the carpentry and finishing is very good. I won't list all the great things about owning a wood boat, because anyone that is reading this probably knows the satisfaction that comes from owning one. I would like to point out some of the deficiences associated with a Trojan Sea Voyageaur. They are as follows;
1) There are to many areas that depend on sealant as the primary source of keeping water out of the superstructure. Unfortunatley the sealants used in '69 are not as good as today, and as these sealants break down due to age, rain water can find a hundred ways in through the top sides, which will cause the boat to rot from the top down.
2) The hull framing too light, and is prone to cracking
3) The teak decks originally installed are practically impossible to seal, I've subsequently removed all mine.
4) The screws used to assemble the hull are very prone to corrosion, refastening is almost always required.
After you have addressed all of the issues listed above, you've got a great boat!

|Trojan - Trojan 10 Meter Sedan: The perfect boat|
The trogan sedan 10 meter is great, especially with the 8.2L detriot diesels.It is a great handling boat.It is the best boat by my standards.The twin diesels give it plenty of power.But over all it is a great boat so I would recommend it.
