Default Live Bait Reports Southeast Florida

This is a good thread to have.

    I'll get started...

North biscayne bay has been LOADED with pilchards on the incoming tide... Up around the key and gov cut... Just look for the pelicans.... some places are super shallow even at high tide so be careful peaking in there.

The bent range marker outside gov cut had beautfiul threadfins and runners last week.

and govt cut also was loaded with pilchards on the incoming tide - some really nice size ones and chummers.

did have some issues with slob blue runners attacking the pilchard on the sabikis and wrecking havoc on the small pilchard sabiki rigs.

I will be back in Delray tomorrow and should have some sort of an update by Sunday of the Boynton / Boca area. Anyone know anything on the area as of now?

Good report. Tide will flip a little later in the morning tomorrow for the weekenders, but there should be plenty of bait avail at the norm spots.

Put in at haulover 2 days ago and the pilchards were pretty thick on the incoming just outside the ramp. A couple throws you are blacked out.

Yesterday, I put in at crandon and saw there were pilchards in the north bay and up around the marina by the channel marker. LOTS of ballyhoo on the incoming too.

Saw some shrimp at bear cut at night, but nothing crazy...

Thanks for these reports it really helps. Sat bug light had pilchards pretty thick on the bottom around the marker. I'm about to head out now to fish bear cut. I'll see if the shrimp are running at all..

Last night around bear cut pilchards were thick around the bridge. some shrimp drifting by. The most shrimp I saw was at slack tide. Tarpon weren't that interested in shrimp. Jumped one off on a pilchard right when the tide was changing. Got a limit of fat mangos.

I'm pulling the boat down from lauderdale on saturday to take a few friends fishing. Can anyone point me the right direction? I've only bait fished at the ferry docks and the bent range marker outside of the cut. My time is limited so I'd love to throw the net. I appreciate any help. Thank you
