1995 bayliner 3258

We went from a 1993 bayliner 3058 to a 1995 bayliner 3258 and both are nice. But the 3258 is I a different class. Much thicker glass and sturdier. Walk on the decks and the cockpit above the motors and bang on the side. I used a hole saw to drills barbaque holder in the deck and it was an inch of hand layer glass on the 3258. Plus the 17 or 18 degree rear dead rise means pretty smooth ride In ruff water. Plus the 3258 had tons of room, and a fantastic layout . Plus it is the best looking boat for a bridge on the water. Mine had a factory installed genset 16btu heat/air and vacuflush Twin 454 bravo threes. Fast top speed over 40. Those suck, if I had to do it over again I would get a 3588 or a 3458 to get the inboards. Got to have inboards if you want to save tons a money on maintainence and get a real boat. We had ours for 8 years and I was always proud of that boat and loved it to death. But it's a rich mans lifestyle and the depreciation is tough. We paid 60k and sold it for 25k and probably spent average 2500 a year to maintain at least. great boat, we miss it every day

Bob's Boat

This is a very versatile boat for the money and can be had for a very reasonable cost on the used market. With some minor improvements the boat will show as good as any boat twice the cost
